Today is consumed with hearts and chocolate and flowers.
For many years February 14th brought with it high expectations.
Wanting to be loved. You know, by just the right guy.
It’s a day of mixed emotions for many.
It sucks if you’re single.
It’s just another day if you’re married (with a toddler).
Oh, Valentine’s Day. Why must you be so complicated?
But it doesn’t have to be.
Today, whether you’re single, or married, a mother, or not….
You. Are. Loved.
By a great, big, God.
I wish that would have been enough for me all those years ago.
That I would have rested in His love, instead of chasing the artificial kind.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
His love is truly enough.
But I don’t think it hurts to enjoy a piece of chocolate while you dwell on His promise.
