What God’s Teaching Me About Community

March 29, 2017 by Jennifer

We put our house on the market about a month ago. After much prayer (and research) we knew it was time to begin a new chapter. We hadn't planned to move, but having a child with special needs means plans often change. We're moving to ensure our son gets the best education possible. While our decision to move was based primarily on Jackson's educational needs, I'm excited to see what God has in store for us as we pack up our home and move to my favorite college town. As a mother, I want Jackson Continue Reading

The High Position {of Motherhood}

March 15, 2017 by Jennifer

I read the verse again, including the verses that followed.They were referring to wealth and the rich and poor, but I couldn't shake the feeling that God was using these words to impress something important upon my heart about my highest Continue Reading

What Transparency Does

February 8, 2017 by Jennifer

Monday I found myself in a bad spot. After a grueling few days in the motherhood department, I was sinking deeper to rock bottom. I sat on the couch, tears streaming down my face with one of two options. I could keep quiet about the struggle or I could be transparent. I posted a not-so-flattering photo of myself on my personal Facebook page with these words: The past week has been HARD.  I sat on the couch after school today feeling completely helpless.  I yelled at my husband Continue Reading
