Twelve Things I Learned in November {2017}

November 30, 2017 by Jennifer

Take the Leap of Faith One year ago I took a leap of faith and took my love for photography to the next level. I started Double J Photography with the goal to offer affordable photography to special needs families. The past year has been amazing. I wrote about it here. Jackson has discovered the one on our tree that says, “she wrapped up her damn cat” and continues to push the button and Continue Reading

When Your Story Requires A lot of Courage

November 29, 2017 by Jennifer

I shared the following on my Facebook page yesterday - mainly because I needed to put my thoughts into words and writing is my therapy. But then I found myself wanting to go a little deeper; to share those same thoughts here. I am truly doing something I Continue Reading

I wanted to be a teacher. I started my college career as an education major. You'd think after loving school and wanting to be a teacher I'd be thrilled to sit down and teach Jackson. Don't get me wrong, we've always worked on our ABC's and 123's. We've read books together since he was a newborn. I teach him; Continue Reading

Happy Halloween! I hope your day is filled with more treats than tricks! And I hope you get a lot of Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins in your goody bag! It's hard to believe October is already over! Tonight we will brave the cold (and possible rain) to do some Trick-or-Treating! As we say goodbye to October, here's a few things I learned... When Your Kid Wants You to Dress Up,  You Dress Up! Jackson has known since early summer what he wanted to be for Halloween. He wanted to be Batman and he Continue Reading
