Eleven Things I Learned In December {2017}

December 29, 2017 by Jennifer

I'm Not a Fan of Frozen Meals I've never been one to prepare a bunch of freezer meals to make dinner time easier. Why? Because they never taste good to me once I cook them. Recently we bought some frozen meals from a place in my hometown. It's a great place, with great food, but I could only eat the meatloaf. The two casseroles were disgusting! The texture about did me in. I was reminded once again why I don't do freezer meals. YUCK!!!! It's Okay If We Have to Leave the Party We attempted to Continue Reading

My Top Three Posts of 2017

December 27, 2017 by Jennifer

Well here they are - the words I wrote that were read the most this year - and they all happen to be about being a special needs mama! Writing about our special needs journey keeps me sane. It helps me process the hard stuff and cherish the good stuff. I don't have thousands of people reading this little blog, but if I can encourage just one mama in the midst of her mess than I have succeeded! Of course there are memories from the past year that I could reminisce about. I could write about all the things I love Continue Reading

The Day I Went to Kindergarten {And What It Taught Me}

December 6, 2017 by Jennifer

There have been a lot of changes in his schedule lately as we try to find the best fit for him. He's been back and forth between classrooms and all the uncertainty seemed to have caught up to him. So I walked him down the hall and explained we were going to the big kindergarten class. When we entered the classroom he still wouldn't let go of my Continue Reading

When Your Story Requires A lot of Courage

November 29, 2017 by Jennifer

I shared the following on my Facebook page yesterday - mainly because I needed to put my thoughts into words and writing is my therapy. But then I found myself wanting to go a little deeper; to share those same thoughts here. Maybe because I'm 100% certain that when we're transparent and vulnerable about our struggles God will use it for His glory. I believe when we are courageous enough to share the not so pretty parts of our lives we give others permission to share their not so pretty stories, Continue Reading
