The Bible is pretty clear that our works do not save us. I’ve read the scriptures more times than I can count over the years; but I still live striving.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
The past few months, I’ve written less and listened more; and He’s taught me that small doesn’t mean insignificant.
That realization brought freedom.
And when you’re free, you can hear the familiar whisper.
He’s saying write again.
People are encouraging me to continue sharing our story.
And I’m ready to do just that; because I play a part in God’s Holy calling.
I write in hopes to make God’s message fully known. (Colossians 1:25)
Not because my life is perfect; but because His glory is revealed in the imperfections.
So in this new found freedom, I embrace His grace and trust Him with the rest.
I simply pray God will make me fit for what He’s called me to be, I pray He will fill my good ideas and acts of faith with his own energy so that it all amounts to something. (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 MSG)
