May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
Maybe you’re like me and need to hear these words today. This week has been a challenging one for this mama. Take a very strong-willed toddler who is cutting his two-year molars, add the fact that he’s pushing his boundaries and my buttons, and it’s really quite exhausting. Someone even had to sit in the time-out chair a few times.
I’ve tried to do this mothering thing in my own strength this week and it’s left me feeling defeated and grumpy.
I could use the joy and peace that God promises in Romans 15:13. I would love for hope to overflow when I start to worry that I’m going to screw my son up. I need God to guide me and give me wisdom so that I can be the best possible mother to Jackson.
What are you struggling with today? Do you need a little hope? Do you need His peace to erase the worry? Today I pray that you will cling to the promise that he will fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
***Today I’m linking up for Five Minute Friday. You can join all the fun here.

Mothering is so hard at times if they are toddlers or even in their twenties. I am so thankful that He always gives us hope and joy when we look to Him. Thanks for the reminder that it is in Him and not in our own strength. (visiting from FMF)

Praying for a more peaceful Saturday. One of those days where you experience some peaceful victories, sweet snuggles, and joy found behind those beautiful boy eyes. We all need those moments to buoy us on. This morning i woke up to puddles of rain and John 15. That passage is such one that echoes the power of the above verse you shared. The key to strength, abiding living in the circle of His love. Resting and being refreshed by relationship. Thanks for your honesty. This mama thing can be oh so hard and sweet all at once.
